The league is only as strong as its supporters!  Athens Sandlot Baseball is a private, not for profit 501(c)(3) organization. It operates on the goodwill of the people involved who devote their time, experience and expertise who volunteer.  However, it does require funds to provide equipment for the players, uniforms, and to pay umpires.   The city has limited employees so we provide some additional field maintenance equipment.  The league coaches and parents really are the ones who keep the fields in the playing condition they desire.  Additionally, Sandlot incurs expenses to meet the league's continued growth.  This includes approximately $5000 in new equipment for additional teams a year.  It also covers an additional $3000 in baseballs & softballs purchased every year for games. The concession stand is our primary source of revenue leaving us approximately $2000-$3000 at the end of the season which is used for startup costs for the following season (Baseballs and replacement equipment, stocking the stand). Due to these expenses, the league needs your help and seeks your support.            LEAGUE SPONSOR Each year a league sponsor is designated for contributing a single gift of $3000 or more.  The League Sponsor is usually a business who goes above and beyond other contributions and whose funds are used for the general good of  league development.  These funds are used to buy replacement equipment, new equipment, tools used for the maintence of the fields and field improvements.  Without a league sponsor many of the fields themselves would not have been possible.  Our League Sponsor Since We Started - Diagnostic Hybrids, Inc. (DHI)  In addition to team sponsors, the league sponsor offers additional finanacial support that allows improvements to the fields.  Team sponsors cover the costs of uniforms.  The League Sponsor provides money that is used for the improvement of the fields and facilities and is one of the few reasons why the fields keep getting better and better. The league sponsor also provides funding for keeping the fields in good condition and helps pay the debt on our exisiting loan used for the original improvements of the fields. GENERAL SEASON SPONSOR $25-$1000 Become a general season sponsor by making a contribution in one of the following amounts.  Any of these donations go towards general improvement of the field construction, renovation, or improvement including trees, flowers, drinking fountains, bleachers, and materials.   GRAND SLAM $1000 HOME RUN      $500 TRIPLE $300 DOUBLE $200 SINGLE $100 WALK $25 TEAM SPONSORS - $550 Players are outfitted with pants, shirt, socks, and hat for season play.  The cost of outfitting one team is $550 (Typically 10-12 players).  For anyone sponsoring a team in this amount, their business logo is placed on the jersey.  Businesses supply their logo in computer format. Sponsorships are limited to amount of teams created.  Team sponsors are recognized on the website as well. BUSINESS SPONSOR - $150 Recognition on the website as an Official Athens Sandlot Business Booster. BASEBALL FIELD OUTFIELD SIGNS An outfield sign will be seen by parents and players including out of town fans during tounament season. Purchase a 4x8 foot sign for: ·         1 sign -   $250 ·         2 signs - $400 ·         3 signs - $500 Prices are for signs placed in the outfield of the fields.  The signs are made from a green polyvinyl corrugated outdoor stock.  Business names or logos will appear in white or yellow against this green background. Much of the price goes to the cost for the sign.  Life expectancy of the sign is two to three years.  Purchasers can renew their sign each season thereafter for a donation of $100 per year.   SEASON SPONSOR - $2500 Your business or organization can be recognized as a the season's League Sponsor!  Your business or organization will be added to the homepage website which is regularly visited by players and parents. Team Sponsors Field Sponsors help fund improvements made to the fields.  The Team Sponsors listed below covered the cost of supplying players’ uniforms for the season including shirts, hats, pants, and socks.  They are the main reason that the teams look as good as they do.  We usually find that the players continue to wear their shirts long after the season is over and year after year.
