• To successfully register on Registration Day you will need to submit  these completed forms below plus your registration fee ($60  for Ages7-12) made payable to Athens Sandlot. Regisration Fees for Jr. High (7th & 8th Grade) to be determined.
• You are encouraged to print out and complete the above forms to bring with you on Registration Day.  
• It is recommended that you have these forms completed before you come to Registration Day to help registration go smoothly and quickly.
• Sample uniforms are usually available on registration day to try on. Sizing information is on one of the forms below.

The Athens Sandlot Baseball League is offering free registration for any child who receive benefits thorough Athens Job & Family Services.  Submit the Registration Fee Waiver Form (Word)   or Registration Fee Waiver Form (Adobe) request a waiver of fees.

II. REGISTRATION DATES/TIMES

Athens Junior High Baseball (7th & 8th Grades) registration is held earlier.  Practices start in March because the first game is typically at the end of March.  7th Grade Baseball plays on Wrigley Field (75' bases, 54' pitcher's mound). 8th Grade Baseball plays on Dalton Field (90' bases, 60' pitcher's mound) which is a regulation high school field. Further details will be discussed at the parents meeting held after registration.

III. UNIFORM SIZING

Sample uniforms will be available to try on Registration Day.  Players are encouraged to try on these uniforms since uniforms CANNOT be returned.

IV. AGE DETERMINATION FOR LEAGUE PLAY

Player's age division is determined by how old he/she is on the date above of this season.

BASEBALL IS PLAYERS AGE ON APRIL 30th OF THIS YEAR

For baseball, assume a player's birthday is on May 1st.  If player is 10 years old on April 30th, and turns 11 on May 1st, he is 10 years old for purposes of league play at time of registration. (This follows Little League Rules )

SOFTBALL IS PLAYERS AGE ON JANUARY 1st OF THIS YEAR

For softball, assume the player's birthday is on February 1. If player is 10 years old on January 1,  and turns 11 on February 1, she is 10 years old for purposes of league play at the time of registration.  (This follows ASA rules).

V. COACHING

If you are interested in coaching:

1. Complete the COACHES APPLICATION (Word) or COACHES APPLICATION (Adobe)

2. Attend the mandatory meeting. See homepage for schedule. 

3. Make $10 application fee payable to ASB.

Coaches are kept with their players.  Generally there is one head coach and two to three assistant coaches per team. Coaches who were selected will be notified.   Head coaches are required to help with Evaluation Day and team selection held later that day.

VI. BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN SAME DIVISION

If there are Brothers or Sisters of THE SAME LEAGUE AND AGE DIVISION, please note their names on the registration form and we will try to keep them together on the same team. For example, if Joe and Jane Smith are both playing 10u Baseball, on Joe Smith's application write on top "JANE SMITH - SISTER - 10u ALSO".  On Jane Smith's application write on top "JOE SMITH - BROTHER - 10u ALSO."  This will help us make sure to keep the two on the same team.
